Save the Music Festival on Sunday, October 14, 2018

SchoolForce's Save the Music Festival is the largest annual community event in Belmont. Join us October 14, 2018 and experience simultaneous live music on 3 stages throughout Twin Pines Park. Be sure to stay for the festival finale: a battle of the bands between Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh! and the Stanford University Band.

Save the Music will have plenty of fun for all ages: climb giant inflatables, decorate pumpkins, win prizes, play instruments, touch a firetruck, and meet Belmont community business & services. Best of all, your participation supports SchoolForce, the Belmont-Redwood Shores Education Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the event: $15 for adults and $10 for children (13-17).

SchoolForce Innovation Grants

SchoolForce invites Belmont-Redwood Shores staff members to apply for a SchoolForce Innovation Grant (SFIG) during our Fall 2018 grant cycle. BRSSD staff members (individuals or in a small group) can apply for grants of up to $500 per person to inspire, facilitate and empower staff to develop new and exciting instructional methods and projects. For the Fall 2018 grant cycle, request forms can be submitted between September 5th and September 19th. Additional can be found on the SchoolForce Innovation Grant webpage or email Ardythe Andrews, SchoolForce’s Executive Director.

Annual Giving Campaign

SchoolForce, your district's educational foundation, is more important than ever, providing the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District a supplemental fund to carry forward library staffing, music specialists, science specialists and reading specialists! SchoolForce's Annual Giving Campaign kicks off in November, though we gladly accept donations throughout the school year. SchoolForce's goal will be to raise $2 million this 2018-19 year to make a difference for the students in all of our BRSSD schools. We ask you to:

• Make your annual donation of $1500 per student (or as much as you can afford) by June 30, 2018. Annual donations include all sources of giving, including corporate match, and may be spread across monthly payments.
• Contact your SchoolForce school chairperson to get involved and volunteer!

THANK YOU!

MANY THANKS to all who donated to SchoolForce by June 30th! SchoolForce has reached our $2M fundraising goal for the first time ever!

We are so appreciative of all of our community members who have made quality education in Belmont-Redwood Shores public schools a priority. Your donations help bridge the gap, by funding staff and programs in our schools including literacy, technology, music, science, art, sports, innovation grants and more.
